Reward offered for info in trumpeter swan shooting
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says a reward is being offered for information leading to whoever shot four immature trumpeter swans near Warroad.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says a reward is being offered for information leading to whoever shot four immature trumpeter swans near Warroad.
The DNR says the swans were shot at Brown's Lake over Sept. 18-19 and their bodies left at the northern Minnesota lake.
Trumpeter swans are a threatened species and shooting one is a gross misdemeanor. People who shoot them face fines of up to $3,000, possible loss of their shotguns, and loss of their hunting license.
