Oakes teen knocked out of national text messaging competition

(WDAY TV) - It's a bit of a disappointment for an Oakes teen competing in a national text messaging competition.
As we told you this weekend, 14-year-old Mariah Kelly earned a trip to New York City to compete in the LG National Texting Championship.
Kelly's step-father says she was bumped out in the first round because of a mistyped word. 32 teens were competing in the event. Kelly flies home from the Big Apple tomorrow.
