YMCA, Sanford Health break ground on $12 million facility
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Construction on the new Sanford Y-M-C-A is now underway in Southwest Fargo.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Members from both the "Y" and Sanford Health broke ground today, near the U-P Center. The 78-thousand square foot, 12-million dollar building will house multiple pools, weight rooms, gyms and an indoor track.
It will also cater to people needing physical rehabilitation and employ 30-people.
“I think this will re-define health and healthy living in our area it will give people a fabulous beautiful space to work out in and to improve health.”
This will be a stand alone facility. Other "Y" members will be allowed to use it, but just 12-times a year. The Sanford “Y” is scheduled to open in October of 2011.
