Burning elevator exercise gives local firemen some hands on training
Carlisle, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Quite a sight in rural Minnesota. About 55 fire fighters had a "hot training" exercise on a burning elevator in Carlisle.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The elevator was a liability, so about seven departments used to train. These firefighters are more likely to battle a grain bin fire than any other this time of year. That's why this is so important.
“Small towns have these little elevators and it's to help the fireman see what happens what's needed we're also learning about incident command water supplies different pumping situations.”
The last time Rothsay was part of the training was seven years ago.
