CHISHOLM, Minn. (AP) — A welcome-home ceremony is being held in Chisholm for members of a Duluth-based National Guard unit that served a year in Afghanistan.

The 153 members of the 114th Transportation Company returned from their 12-month deployment in June.

Members of their families, friends and the community are getting a chance to officially welcome them home on Sunday at an 11 a.m. event at Chisholm High School. Lt. Gov. Carol Molnau is scheduled to speak.

The 114th was stationed at the U.S. Marine Corps' Forward Operation Base Leatherneck. From there, they provided convoy security and transported supplies to the Marine Corps and other coalition forces in Afghanistan.
