Alongside the locals checking out the latest agribusiness must haves and the farm toys big and small were over 100 buyers from 10 foreign countries, including South Africa, Mexico, and Turkey.

Leaders including Governor John Hoeven and USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack welcomed these international businessmen at the expo today. They gave special attention to their partnership with Kazakhstan which has many North Dakota-made farm machinery working in their fields and at the end of this year will import 2,200 cattle from North Dakota to farms in their country.

"I invite businessmen from North Dakota to come to Kazakhstan and open businesses there to promote our further success."

Governor Hoeven says that in the past decade, North Dakota has grown in exports by nearly 250%, making it the leading state in export growth.
