Demolition begins on old Fargo church
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The first step today in a major makeover of a busy south Fargo corner. Demolition started today on the old Olivet Church on 25th Street and 17th Avenue south in Fargo.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
In its place will be affordable housing. The city of Fargo is putting up what'll be called the Crossroads Senior Living Community.
It'll be a 3 story building with 81-1 and 2 bedroom apartments for people 55 and older who fall under certain income requirements. Couples need to make less than 33-thousand a year.
City planners say there are already 60 people on the waiting list.
The project will be done in 2 phases. Half is expected to be finished by July 1st. The entire project by the end of next year.
