Mud racing competition a highlight of Horace's Bean Days
Horace, ND (WDAY TV) - If you think driving through deep snow is hard, check out what trucks took on in Horace.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
This mud racing competition is part of "Bean Days". There are 65 entries in six classes racing for trophies.
The track is 200 feet long and takes two days to create, digging up the soil and adding between 10 and 20 thousand gallons of water.
“We've had a few stuck. It gets to be a long day when you get too deep of a pit and all these stock trucks get stuck and you got to hook them up with tow ropes and drag them out.”
The event lasts about 6 hours.
