Shocky Strand Invite
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY Sports) - Plenty of heavy hearts at Johnson Park in Moorhead this morning. The annual Shocky Strand Invite took place, just a couple of days after the legendary coach passed away.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
The varsity girl’s race would be dominated by Fergus Falls' Haylie Zenner. 2-time state champ in the 800. She finished with a time of 15 minutes, 47 seconds. Moorhead won the team title however.
On the guy’s side, it was more good news for the Spuds. Lukas Gemar won the race with a time of 16 minutes, 28 seconds. His Moorhead squad also took home the team victory with Perham and Willmar finishing second and third.
