(WDAY TV) - A Clay County Judge today set bail at 2-million dollars for a man accused of killing two people in Moorhead last February. 38-year old Tracy Alan Zornes has been indicted on first degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of Megan Londo and John Cadotte. They were found dead in the burned out apartment.

Zornes appeared in court this afternoon on those charges as family members of those who died watched.
One nugget of information to come out of today's court appearance is that authorities say friends and family worked to hide Zornes following the murders and fire. Just one reason Judge Mike Kirk set bail at 2-million dollars. It was a courtroom full of emotion as family members packed the hearing.
6-months after their brutal murders, those who loved John Cadotte and Megan Londo came to see and hear from the man authorities say killed them.
“We are just waiting for justice to be served.”
In court, many of them wept silently, others staring angrily at Zornes.
“It just brings it all back, just like the present.”
Zornes, who is being held in Detroit Lakes on robbery charges in another case, was brought to Moorhead today for the hearing. The 2-million dollar bail reflects the brutality of the alleged crime and Zornes past with the law.
“The threat he presents we need to think of that and 2 million is right.“
Zornes also faces arson charges. Authorities believe he torched this apartment after the killings. Usually, prosecutors file a detailed complaint outlining the allegations and evidence gathered. Since a grand jury heard all that in secret, there is no need for such a public document, meaning little will be known about what happened that deadly night, until trial.
