Oakport Township, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Here is some good news for homeowners in Oakport: They will not be assessed for 2010 flood costs.
FEMA will reimburse Oakport for all but about 15-hundred dollars of the costs to fight the spring flood.
The township spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on temporary levee work. The decision still has to be finalized by FEMA.
