Moorhead search warrant leads to arrest of woman, seizing $40K in drugs

A 20-year-old Texas woman was arrested after police searched a Moorhead home this morning and found about $40,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana. Samantha Lynn Barrientos is being held in the Clay County Jail on suspicion of a first-degree controlled substance charge, a felony.

A 20-year-old Texas woman was arrested after police searched a Moorhead home this morning and found about $40,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana.

Samantha Lynn Barrientos is being held in the Clay County Jail on suspicion of a first-degree controlled substance charge, a felony.

According to a news release from the Moorhead Police Department:

Officers executed a search warrant at 1913 18th Ave. S. in Moorhead, where they found 13 ounces of cocaine and 17 grams of marijuana.

Officers believe the cocaine came from Texas.

Barrientos’ arrest is part of an on-going investigation targeting drug-trafficking in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Fargo Police Department, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations and West Fargo Police Department also assisted in the investigation and arrest.
