BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's dove season opens soon, and hunters are being reminded to register with the Harvest Information Program before taking to the field.

The state Game and Fish Department says the season opens statewide Sept. 1 and runs through Oct. 30. The daily limit is 15 and the possession limit is 30. Shooting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset.

Hunters can contact Game and Fish through the agency's website at www.gf.nd.gov for more information on the Harvest Information Program. Those who registered to hunt the spring light goose season in North Dakota do not have to register with the program a second time.
