Former Bison to play in Switzerland basketball league
(WDAY Sports) - Mike Nelson has worked hard his entire life on the basketball court, now all that hard work is starting to pay off.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
The 7th all time leading scorer in Bison history is heading overseas to continue his pro hoops career. Nelson told me tonight he's signed a contract with Fribourg in Switzerland, the highest league there.
Nelson played 34 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce last year and says he's thrilled to keep playing. Nelson averaged 6 points a game in the D-league last year. He joins Ben Woodside and Brett Winkelman who will all play overseas next season.
