Kennedy, Minnesota church treasurer pleads guilty to stealing $30,000

Kennedy, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Kennedy, Minnesota woman will spend time in jail after stealing money from a church where she worked as the treasurer.

Kennedy, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Kennedy, Minnesota woman will spend time in jail after stealing money from a church where she worked as the treasurer.

47-year-old Margie Holmgren plead guilty to felony theft for stealing $30-thousand dollars from the Maria (mariah) Lutheran Church in Kennedy.

A judge sentenced her to spend 10 days in jail every year for the next three years for a total of 30 days behind bars. She also has to pay back what she stole and do 60 hours of community service.
