BIA officer for Spirit Lake charged in stabbing
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer for the Spirit Lake Nation has been charged for allegedly stabbing his wife in the chest with a kitchen knife.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer for the Spirit Lake Nation has been charged for allegedly stabbing his wife in the chest with a kitchen knife.
Court documents say 41-year-old Duane Gunville stabbed his wife during an argument last weekend at their Devils Lake home. She was treated at a hospital and released.
Gunville has been charged with aggravated assault. Bond was set at $50,000, and as of Saturday, Gunville was no longer being held.
Gunville face up to five years in prison if convicted.
No number was listed for him.
