Arthur, ND (WDAY TV) - Good news for a Fargo family we first told you about Tuesday. A Fargo woman and her daughter suffered a vicious cat attack.

The two were caring for the stray cat, which had been taken in by a family member. The attacks came on two separate days. Both had to go to the emergency room with multiple cat bites. Stitches and staples were needed.

The sheriff's department and Fargo Community Service Officers confiscated the cat and brought it to the pound. The family requested it be "put down" so rabies tests could be done. Late this afternoon, they learned from the NDSU lab, the rabies tests were negative.
