2 killed, 3 injured after a crash east of Moorhead
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Two people are dead and three others injured after a crash east of Moorhead last evening. Robert L. Schroeder, 64, of Pelican Rapids, and John E. Fuhrken, 76, of Hawley, died in the broadside crash at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 9 near Buffalo River Race Park, the Minnesota State Patrol said.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY

The driver of the car, Robert Schroeder, died at Sanford Hospital in Fargo. The back-seat passenger, Fuhrken, died at the scene.
Schroeder’s wife, Linda Schroeder, 63, of Pelican Rapids, was taken to Sanford Hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a car with 3 people was headed south on Highway 9 and didn't yield for a pickup headed west on Highway 10. The truck hit the car, killing a backseat passenger.
The occupants of the pickup, David Hamm, 52, and Jerri Hamm, 50, both of Backus, Minn., were treated and released from Innovis Health in Fargo, the State Patrol said.
LifeFlight responded to the accident, but no one was airlifted, Backes said.
