Man intentionally hit by car dies of injuriesST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The man who St. Paul police say a hit-and-run driver intentionally struck outside a homeless mission has died.
Police on Sunday identified the victim as 55-year-old Danny Elwin Wright. They say witnesses told investigators Wright was walking along University Ave. about 5 a.m. Saturday near the Union Gospel mission when an adult male drove up alongside and started shouting at him, then followed him into the mission's parking lot and ran him down.
Wright died of head injuries Saturday night at Regions Hospital.
Homicide detectives are looking for a small, two-door dark blue or green car that likely has fresh damage.
