(WDAY TV) - A Marine from Minto, North Dakota is in a military hospital after being injured by an I-E-D while on foot patrol in Afghanistan Monday.

First Lieutenant Clayton Jarolimek's parents say he was expected to be taken to a hospital in Germany for his wounds, including a broken jaw, broken facial bones and debris in his eye.

After surgery to fix the broken bones, the marine will likely be flown to California. Jarolimek's parents say his injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.
