REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (AP) — Three Democratic gubernatorial candidates are expected to focus their attacks on Republican Tom Emmer instead of each other at a farm issues debate near Redwood Falls on Wednesday.

Democrats Mark Dayton, Matt Entenza (en-TEN'-zah) and Margaret Anderson Kelliher (KEL'-uh-her) are competing in next Tuesday's primary, but they have been relatively gentle with each other.

The rare debate with Emmer gives them a chance to be aggressive without angering Democratic primary voters who support their rivals.

Emmer faces only token primary opposition.

The candidates for governor, including Independence Party hopefuls Tom Horner and Rob Hahn, are appearing together at a candidates forum at the annual Farmfest agricultural fair.
