Rolla, ND (WDAY TV) - The only castle in the State of North Dakota is getting a facelift!

Historians, preservationists and construction crews spent most of yesterday working to restore Coughlan Castle in Rolla.

Built in 1904, the historic site used to be the home of Irish immigrant, Maurice Coghlan, but since his death decades ago, the place has sat empty.

So with the help of volunteers, crews hope to have both the interior and exterior done later this year.
