19-year-old man who fell in Lake Nokomis dies
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 19-year-old man who fell into Lake Nokomis (NOH'-koh-mis) in Minneapolis has died.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 19-year-old man who fell into Lake Nokomis (NOH'-koh-mis) in Minneapolis has died.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office says Pedro Luis Ajete, of Monticello, was pronounced dead at the Hennepin County Medical Center at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
County sheriff's department spokeswoman Lisa Kiava says the man was sitting on the edge of a fishing pier when he fell in Monday afternoon. She says a passer-by helped the victim's friend pull him out, but he was under water for several minutes.
She says he wasn't breathing when he was pulled out. No foul play is suspected.
