Annual blood drive kicks off with tug of war
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The 4th annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is on and your contribution could help save lives and secure bragging rights.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The kick off was a crowd favorite, the tug of war between the firefighters and law enforcement. Firefighters won, but the winner of the blood drive is still up for grabs.
Until Friday, volunteers can donate blood at West Acres Mall and dedicate their donation to either the police or firefighter tally.
The winning department gets a trophy, but the real winners are the people who benefit from the generous blood donations.
“We've only done this blood drive since 2007 and we have seen over 2041 donors and we've had over 1800 products come in and save lives in our community.”
The average blood drive usually only collects 30 donations.
