He faces prison time and a fine. Stavaas will be in Otter Tail County court tomorrow. We first told you about Star last month.
The 1-year old German Shepherd mix was left wounded in the wild for one week. She's recovering. Picketers and their dogs will be outside the courthouse at 8:15 to demand the maximum punishment.
Meantime, more than one thousand people have signed an online petition for a stiffer sentence. The Facebook page is called "Justice for Star in Minnesota".
