Driver killed in 2-vehicle crash identified
GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an 84-year-old woman from Lankin has been killed in a two-vehicle crash west of Grafton. Troopers say Marcella Kalash was traveling west on State Highway 17 about 1:20 p.m. Thursday and attempted to pass another vehicle, colliding with an oncoming pickup.
GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an 84-year-old woman from Lankin has been killed in a two-vehicle crash west of Grafton.
Troopers say Marcella Kalash was traveling west on State Highway 17 about 1:20 p.m. Thursday and attempted to pass another vehicle, colliding with an oncoming pickup.
The patrol says Kalash died at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 70-year-old Theophil Spale from Grafton, was treated at a Grand Forks hospital.
The patrol says it was raining at the time of the crash, causing poor visibility.
