Finley Fire Department using grant to find younger recruits
Finley, ND (WDAY TV) - Several counties in North Dakota are taking advantage of a new grant for fire departments.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The money can be used to find new recruits for the departments and emergency medical services.
Officials at the Finley fire department say they're using this 230 thousand dollar grant to reach a younger audience in advertising and at college job fairs. With many of their firefighters approaching retirement years, the fire chief says recruiting at an early age can only help.
