Blues cheer on special Olympians headed for the national games
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A local group supporting healthy living is teaming up with Olympians from the area.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
It's collaboration between Blue Cross Blue Shield and the North Dakota Special Olympics. This morning, the Blues wore their "super fan" t-shirts as they cheered on 37 special Olympians leaving for the national games.
On Friday, the Olympians cheered on the blues as they took part in their 7th annual 5K run and walk.
"Good support to critical organizations like this in our community goes a long ways in helping these athletes reach the goals they want and it also dove-tails into the messaging we want about improving the health and life styles of North Dakotans."
The national games are start tomorrow and go through next Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
