Trial date scheduled for Wahpeton man charged with murder

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - The trial date is set for a Wahpeton man charged in the murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Jeffrey Allen Silvernail

Jeffrey Silvernail is charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of 48-year-old Lori Roberts, from Doran, Minnesota.

Silvernail had pleaded not guilty. Police say he shot Roberts at her home because she broke up with him.

Roberts was killed last fall. Silvernail was arrested in May.
