Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - We have been smelling and serving up hundreds of tasty pork chops this afternoon as part of our Forum Communications lunch. More on one man's "pay it forward" gesture with the pork chops.

Who can't resist the perfectly seasoned pork chops from Underwood, Minnesota? One man likes them so much; he decided to share them with those he cares about.

Smack dab in the thick smoke and savory steam coming from the grill, the Underwood Lions once again cranked out hundreds of tantalizing pork chops for today's big street fair. But this year, more than 40-pork chops were boxed up and prepared for a "pay it forward" journey.

81 year old John Grivno decided to buy cooler full of pork chops and deliver them to people he cares about.

“Really appreciate it, words cannot describe it, better than an ice cream bars.”

John is disabled and not able to get out of his truck easily. So for those who help him, like vendors at the farmers market, John decided to make a surprise delivery. Some thank you pork chops.

“Am I going to eat good today.”

“Glad I am able to do it. Lord willing I am still here.”

From vegetable vendors to those who help out John at his home, the pork chops were a random act of kindness this man used to give a simple thank you. John includes many in his pay it forward pork chops, including others who are handicapped and those home health nurses who help him nearly every day.
