Fargo Police Make Arrests in Three Car Prowling Incidents
FARGO, N.D. (July 13, 2010) At 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13 Fargo Police received information from a witness that two individuals were looking inside vehicles and stealing items in the 2300 block of N. Flickertail Dr. S. The suspects entered a vehicle and took a GPS unit.
FARGO, N.D. (July 13, 2010) At 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13 Fargo Police received information from a witness that two individuals were looking inside vehicles and stealing items in the 2300 block of N. Flickertail Dr. S. The suspects entered a vehicle and took a GPS unit.
A description of the suspects was provided and a short time later police located and arrested a 17 year old juvenile from Fargo for Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, Possession Stolen Property, Theft from a M/V and false information to police.
While police were looking for the suspects, officers witnessed them enter a vehicle in the 90 block of Prairiewood Dr. S. The officer made contact and arrested Deandre Thomas Colquitte (18) of Fargo for: Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, Possession Stolen Property and Theft from a M/V.
Colquitte was taken to the Cass County Jail and the juvenile was released to his parents.
A total of at least four vehicles were entered by the suspects.
At 3:30 a.m. police responded to 3500 2nd St. N. for another report of possible car prowlers. A newspaper delivery person witnessed three males looking into cars in the area. The witness called the police and provided a description of the suspects involved.
A responding police officer noticed a garage door open and heard voices inside. He looked inside and saw the suspects which matched the description. One of the suspects had a computer in his possession. The officer entered the garage and observed the vehicle with a broken window. The registered owner was contacted and informed police the vehicle was locked and not damaged when he left it in his garage.
Police arrested Joel Patrick Rodriguez (24) of Fargo, Jay Tyler Rodriguez (18) and a juvenile (14) also from Fargo. All were arrested for Burglary, Unlawful Entry to M/V and Possession of Stolen Property. The adults were taken to the Cass County Jail and the juvenile was taken to Cass County Detention.
The Fargo Police Department would like to thank the public for being aware and calling police in a timely manner, greatly enhancing the chances of catching the suspects in the act.
