(WDAY TV) - An arrested Minneapolis man says he did nothing wrong and was trying to build his business in the tornado ravaged town of Wadena.
33-year-old Gerald Nelms is charged with impersonating an officer and unfair trade practices for posing as a FEMA and OSHA officer. Court documents say Nelms asked businesses for a list of damaged properties.
In Wadena, it's illegal to solicit without a license. Police ordered him to leave, but later on, they say he approached more businesses to solicit contracting jobs.
