Antique tractor ride in East Grand Forks

East Grand Forks, Minn. (WDAY TV) - In the northern valley, people took a step back in time as they watched an antique tractor ride along a busy highway.

This is part of the East Grand Forks Heritage Center's Tractorcade. Dozens of tractors from the 1930s and 40s took to Highway 220.

The parade stretched nine miles. These aging Ag engines cruised at speeds topping 10 miles per hour. It is an excuse for these drivers to take tractors out of the shed to ride a piece of history.

“Oh it's a wonderful time. Nothing is more relaxing on a beautiful day just cruising along idol on a tractor, like you don't have a care in the world.”

You can see most of the tractors again during Heritage Days August 21st and 22nd.
