Riverkeepers head to Moldova to learn more about river managementFargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Local Riverkeepers are going across the world to share ideas and get insight on managing water issues.

In May, Riverkeepers in Fargo proclaimed the Dneister river in the eastern European country of Moldova as its sister river.
It has similar flooding issues and it also crosses international borders.
While in Moldova, The group from the Red River Valley wants to learn from the country's river management practices, which include a consortium of non-profits.
“In this country, we have a lot of non-profits an government agencies that work with our water resources, but they aren't always as connected as maybe they should be.”
The group will train people in Moldova on strategies that work in our area, including utilizing citizen volunteers in water monitoring.
