The 45-year-old is being held in the Grand Forks County jail. He does not have an attorney. A hearing was set for July 15 to determine whether the court should appoint one.
Chisholm was arrested last Friday on suspicion of possessing more than $100,000 in farm equipment stolen in North Dakota and Minnesota. He bailed out of jail Saturday, then allegedly stole another brother's car and drove to Nebraska, where he was arrested Sunday.
Donald Chisholm had not been heard from since June 25. Authorities say a body was found Wednesday evening on family property northeast of Mekinock.
