Fight turns fatal in Park Rapids
PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — One man is dead and his friend is in custody after a fight in Park Rapids. Police were called Saturday night to a fight between two friends. When officers arrived they found a man performing CPR on another man in the front yard. Despite attempts to revive him, 41-year-old Richard Hoskins of Park Rapids died at the scene.

Police were called Saturday night to a fight between two friends. When officers arrived they found a man performing CPR on another man in the front yard. Despite attempts to revive him, 41-year-old Richard Hoskins of Park Rapids died at the scene.
An autopsy found Hoskins died from a traumatic brain injury.
Police arrested 48-year-old Luis Candelaria of Park Rapids. Candelaria was arraigned Tuesday on charges of first-degree manslaughter and remained in the Hubbard County Jail.
Police continue investigating.
Candelaria's wife, Karen, says her husband told her the only comment he had for the media is "this is what alcohol will lead to."
