Park Rapids Police investigate homicide

Park Rapids, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Park Rapids man is dead after being murdered Saturday night. The victim is 41-year-old Richard Hoskins. The suspect, in custody, is Louis Canderlira of Park Rapids. He faces a murder charge.
The murder happened at this house at 619 Woodland Avenue about 9:15. Police found a man performing C-P-R on Hoskins in the front yard. He could not be revived.
Authorities believe Hoskins died after being punched once in the end of the nose during a fight. The suspect says the two had been drinking all day. This is the city's first homicide this year.
