WORTHINGTON, Minn. (AP) — State officials have searched a second Minnesota farm that allegedly sold raw milk, seeking evidence of illegal food sales.

The investigation began after E. coli traced to unpasteurized milk products from a southern Minnesota dairy sickened eight people.

Minnesota Public Radio reports that investigators have also searched the Schlangen Family Farm near Freeport in central Minnesota. It cites a search warrant dated June 21.

Agriculture Department spokesman Michael Schommer says they were looking for evidence of illegal food sales.

Farm owner Alvin Schlangen told MPR the state has embargoed most of the inventory on his farm. Asked if he sold unpasteurized milk, Schlangen's replied his farm has "acted as an agent" for it.
