JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Officials in the Jamestown area are looking for a site to house a consolidated county and city library.

Voters approved merging the Alfred Dickey Public Library and the Stutsman County Library in November 2008. The two libraries presently are in separate buildings, and director Daphne Drewello says the libraries are outgrowing both facilities.

The James River Valley Library System Board looked at more than 20 potential sites for a new library and has decided a site owned by Innovis Health is the most likely spot. Negotiations are ongoing.
