That small town has several destroyed homes and hundreds of trees are down. One woman was killed.
FEMA spokesman Richard Gifford says it's very early in the process of getting federal funding. The next step is passing all this information on to Governor Tim Pawlenty, who will then request a Presidential disaster declaration.
“This is probably the worst they've seen in their lives so we're here to help them if possible.”
Gifford says it's too early to tell if a major disaster will be declared. FEMA is trying not to get people's hopes up. He says they expect to wrap up their assessment sometime tomorrow.
