Becky Graham is a bus driver turned hero when she gave CPR to Arlan Schlagel (shlay-gul) who was in cardiac arrest at his mobile home in Moorhead.
Becky received the F-M ambulance service citizen lifesaving award. F-M ambulance says she was the first link in the chain of survival. As a bus driver, Becky is required to learn CPR. She says everyone should learn.
“It was just keeping the blood flowing to the brain, we'll be okay. Thanks to God and everyone around here, Arlen's here today.”
Paramedics continued CPR and administered Advanced Cardiac Life Support to help restore Arlan's heart rate and body motion.
