The crash happened on 20th Avenue South Wednesday night. It's one of many as more people ride bike.

Some are young children. They aren't familiar with the rules of the road, riding a bike, or where to ride. Experts are telling bikers to wear visible clothing, helmets, and use bike paths.

“A younger person on a bicycle could shoot out from behind traffic just going through a driveway. They don't know how to stop so you need to pay attention and be aware of that. Obey traffic signals; be cautious at crosswalks, a lot of times when bike paths cross streets, that's the most dangerous intersection for a cyclist.”

Drivers are being told to not be distracted, look ahead, and scan areas near sidewalks or bike paths.
