25-year old Chris Kozak made the trip on I-94; he skated in to town around noon today. Kozak's trip was a fundraiser for the American Cancer society.

He decided to do it because he's had some family and friends battle cancer. Kozak had a cancer scare last year. He says the long trip was worth all of the injuries, time and pain.

“The first day was especially the worst because after a couple of hours, you get pretty emotional and you don't know if you're going to make it. But you just keep on, you know, persevering.”

So far, Kozak has raised 300 dollars. He's putting together another fundraiser on June 26th and 27th at Cashwise.
