It is a chance to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those who have lost the battle, and help raise money to fight the disease.

Luminaries line the walks on the campus mall, each one representing and honoring a person touched by cancer. Teams of Walkers, including many survivors, have raised money and will walk throughout the night.

Organizers are hoping to raise more than 60-thousand dollars and awareness through tonight's event.

“We kind of tease people about getting older sometimes, but the alternative isn't so good so we just want cancer patients to have more birthdays.”

Events, including music, games, and food are going on throughout the night. You're invited to take part to support the cause. It goes until 6 tomorrow morning. The walk is on the main campus mall of MSUM.
