Skating across the state to raise money for the American Cancer Society

Chris Kozak (KOH-ZACK) recently had a testicular cancer scare.

Since that incident and meeting Canadian skaters involved in cancer prevention, he's been working to raise money for the American Cancer Society. So he's boarding from Beach, North Dakota to Fargo which is 333 miles.

While skating across the state, his wife will be driving in a car behind him. He says this is a way to get the message across to everyone in the state.

"To physically, mentally, emotionally put your body through that, I mean if I can do that, then somebody with leukemia can survive."

There will be a kick off event Saturday at the Dike Skate Park in Fargo from 11-4. Kozak's expected to skate back into Fargo by Saturday June 19th.
