Input gathered for feasibility study
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Homeowners are getting a chance to learn more about permanent flood control and its impact downstream.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
At the first of two meetings tonight, people gave input that will be included in a final draft of a feasibility study in October.
This comes 9 days after a "preliminary" feasibility and environmental impact study was released. The Army Corps used it to tentatively pick the North Dakota 35-K diversion.
“Our analysis only went up to Halstad, so we do need to do additional analysis downstream of Halstad to see what those impacts are down past there.”
Another meeting is at the Fargo Civic Center tomorrow night at 6. A presentation starts at 7. The Corps has until July 26th to get public opinion.
