Safety Reminder: Watch young swimmers at the poolFargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A safety reminder as we enter the summer swimming season.

Despite just three days of open swimming at the Island Park Pool, life-guards have been called on to help young swimmers who were having difficulty on their own in the water.
There were two, so called "pull-outs" on Monday. No child was injured, but lifeguards and the Park District say it is a reminder that parents, babysitters and staff all need to be watching the young swimmers at the pool.
“The best advice we can give for parents is to stay there and keep an eye on your kids. The more eyes we have on kids the safer the swimming situation is. We have lifeguards and daycares that they can continue to watch the kids as well. And we've got the parents.”
Lifeguards are certified and train to conduct the "pull-outs" which can happen four to five times a week at each of the park district pools.
