Ribfest 2010: Community tradition promises flavorful ribs and entertainmentFargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The grills are out and the ribs are cooking. The 15th Annual Ribfest, starting at 11 tomorrow morning, also promises fun for any age.
None of these “ribbers” are local, but they're feeling right at home. They're the same group as last year. Organizers say after 15 years, Fargo's Ribfest is a community tradition and they like bringing back the same popular food vendors, whose personalities are often as flavorful as their BBQ sauces.
Fargo hopes to break its 50-thousand attendance record. Last year there were nearly 48-thousand. The concert line up will throw in some variety. Phil Vassar takes the state Wednesday night, followed by 32 Below Thursday, Gin Blossoms Friday, Slaughter and Dokken Saturday, and Post Traumatic funk syndrome Sunday.
