The 1.5 million dollars raised annually will go towards fixing and improving county roads. This is the sixth try.

Right now, the county has an 800-thousand dollar yearly budget for 225 miles of paved roads. But they've had to turn to recycled paving road construction because asphalt costs too much. One mile of road repair would cost about 800-thousand dollars.

"Without the levy, we're going to end up with 50 miles or less, realistically that we maintain out of 225 plus miles."

The proposal would increase property taxes 75 dollars a year on a 100-thousand dollar home and about 40 dollars per quarter section (160 acres) of land.
