MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Federal mediators will be present when Twin Cities nurses and hospitals resume talks aimed at averting a threatened one-day strike.
Some 12,000 nurses in the Minneapolis area are set to walk off their jobs June 10 unless an agreement is reached.
It's the first time the two sides have met since nurses overwhelmingly authorized a strike.
A strike would affect thousands of patients at 14 hospitals in the Twin Cities.
